Based in the Scottish Borders and covering a 10-mile radius, we can cut and maintain your garden on a weekly, fortnightly or ad-hoc basis. We don’t just mow and go. We edge, strim, and leave your lawn looking it's best.
Our Service includes Lawn Mowing: Regular mowing to keep your grass at the perfect height. Edging and Strimming: Precise edging along walkways and flower beds. Weeding and Garden Clearance: Removing unsightly weeds and debris. Small Hedge and Bush Trimming: We are aware that bird nesting takes priority over trimming hedges, so let's see what's required and work out a good plan of action.

As former desk-bound professionals with a deep passion for gardening, we decided to turn our love for green spaces into a thriving business. Inspired by the beauty of well-maintained lawns, we founded Wild Garden Maintenance to provide top-notch lawn and outdoor space maintenance to our community.
At Wild Garden Maintenance, we believe that everyone deserves a well-kept lawn or outdoor space, regardless of age or physical ability. Many of our customers are elderly or have limited mobility...whilst others have busy work and family lives. Our mission is simple: to create beautiful, well tendered lawns, gardens and outdoor spaces that bring joy and pride to our clients.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I mow my lawn? Ideally mowing is based on the grass type, weather conditions, and desired lawn height. Generally, a weekly or bi-weekly schedule during the growing season works well.
What garden equipment do you use? At Wild Garden Maintenance we use the latest electric, rechargeable, battery-operated equipment. The new Ego system benefits from being a lot quieter than the conventional petrol operated tools as well as many other benefits.
Do you offer garden feed? I'm afraid we don't, but we can recommend a company or a product you may wish to use yourself.
What areas do you serve? We serve Galashiels and a 10-mile surrounding area, such as Melrose, Earlston, Stow, Lauder. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, please contact us and we'll be happy to assist you.
Do you use weed killer? We carry two versions of weed killer. We do this as some customers prefer a pet-friendly or more organic approach to removing weeds.
Can we sign up for a season of garden maintenance? Yes, to secure a regular maintenance slot for your garden we can book a long term cutting service to suit you through to end of season. Alternatively we do offer one off garden tidy up.
Do you offer more than just grass cutting? Yes, we love a garden tidy-up, we're not afraid of gardens that are knee-high in grass. Exposing borders, paving stones and stepping stones are a delight for us. We love a before and after garden, and our customers reaction to seeing their outside space come to life.
What should I do to prepare for your visit? There's no need to prepare anything special for our visit. However, if there are specific areas of concern or any access instructions, please let us know in advance. We do ask should you have any pets that all pet poo is picked up prior to us arriving.
